Gedding, Suffolk
Client:
Strict Planning policies make it difficult to build a completely new dwelling in the countryside even when, like this example, it is totally hidden from public view within substantial well established landscaped private grounds.
Located in Suffolk and designed to evoke the style of Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous American architect of the early 20 c, this new dwelling replaces an earlier house constructed in the 1970”s.
The brief was to design a family home drawing on the clients love of Frank Lloyd Wright style and travels in South America. The lozenge shaped ground floor areas allow for spacious, open plan living, whilst the upper floor accommodation comprises two unique studies, master bedroom and ensuite with large veranda.
